Jeff Dauler's Favorite Cookie Recipe...ever
My husband is a chocolate chip cookie snob and these cookies are his absolute favorite. They are a FAVORITE at our house and a crowd pleaser. ENJOY!
The Best Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever:
1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (we use Peter Pan Natural)
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tablespoon honey
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon sour cream
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (half semi-sweet and half milk chocolate)
Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
With an electric mixer, mix the softened butter and peanut butter
together until blended, add sugars and mix until smooth. Add egg,
honey, vanilla, and sour cream. Then add the dry ingredients slowly and
beat on low-speed.
Stir in chocolate chips by hand, and then chill dough in refrigerator
for at least two hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spoon 1-inch balls of cookie dough
onto greased cookie sheet or parchment paper. Bake for approximately
